Does the LG Washer Dryer Clean Clothes as Well as My Current Washer?
Yes, and often more effectively! The tumbling action of a front-loading washer gently lifts the clothes in and out of the water hundreds of times during the wash cycle. This action cleans and rinses your clothes better than top-loading washers, and is gentler on the fabric. Also, the LG Washer Dryer Combo goes through three rinses during the regular cycle, eliminating any detergent residue that’s ordinarily left in the clothing.
Does a Washer Dryer Operate Differently from a Conventional Washer and/or Dryer?
With a washer dryer, loads are smaller. Washing and drying combined takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, so gear your wash habits accordingly. This could mean washing a load every day or every other day, rather than trying to wash everything in one day. Washer dryers also use a condensation drying system that operates without venting. Therefore, drying times run somewhat longer, but still use only 2/3 the energy of standard venting dryers. For best results, shake and fold—or hang on a clothes hanger right away to avoid wrinkling. How Large of a Load Can an LG Washer Dryer Handle?
LG Washer Dryers are capable of washing about 8kg of dry clothes. For combined wash and dry, they accommodate about 4kg of dry clothes.
Does the LG Washer Dryer Combination need to be vented?
No, LG Washer Dryer Combos have a patented condensation drying system in which hot air is condensed into liquid, and then pumped out via the discharge hose into a regular drain. This also means no humidity is created in the area around the washer dryer unit.
Where Can the LG Combination Washer Dryer Be Installed?
The most important thing is to install your washer dryer in a place that’s most convenient for you. It can be installed in the kitchen, bathroom, living area, laundry room, or closet. What Type of Detergent Should I Use with an LG Washer Dryer?
Low-sudzing detergent, such as powder detergent, works best in washer dryers. While powder is preferable, a low-sudzing liquid detergent works fine too. And because LG washer dryers require only one to two tablespoons, you’ll enjoy a substantial savings on your detergent costs.
Should I Use Fabric Softener in a Washer Dryer?
LG recommends using a fabric softener in our washer dryers, to make the drying cycle more efficient and help avoid wrinkles.

Can I Open the Unit During the Drying Cycle?
With wash-only cycles, you can remove items only after the cycle is complete. To dry all or part of the washed load, simply set the desired cycle and press start. At that point, the door cannot be opened again until the cycle is complete.
Does it require any special wiring?
No. The LG Washer/Dryer Combo uses 115 volt,15 amp standard wiring.
Can it be raised off the floor?
Yes, as long as the base is level, and is of very sturdy construction.
How long does it take to wash and dry a load of clothes?
The amount of time it takes to wash and dry a load of clothes depends on the type and size of the load (delicates, permanent press, or cottons). The average combined wash-and-dry time is 2 1/2 to 3 hours. This approximates the total time it takes to both wash and dry a comparable load of clothing in a separate washer and dryer system.
